Exquisite Handmade Islamic Art Geometric Pattern Mosaic Woodwork
Own a spectacular piece of craftsmanship with this complete, highly ornate Syrian-style (Damascene) inlaid bedhead. This set features three main interlocking triptych panels and two freestanding side columns/posts, all covered in breath taking, meticulous geometric intarsia mosaic woodwork.
Condition: Used. As seen in the photos, the overall mosaic and inlay work is in remarkable, tight condition. There are minor signs of handling consistent with age, notably a light mark/scuff on the far-left wooden spacer post, detailed in the high-resolution photos.
Craftsmanship & Materials:
Intarsia Technique: Hand-cut and hand-set bone and mother of pearl tesserae are perfectly nested into a rich walnut and fruitwood base.
Geometric Patterns: The central panel features a complex, unbroken geometric star polygon field. The triptych is framed by traditional fretwork borders and secondary mosaic square motifs.
The bedframe is mid century work, the end of the art deco period.

Although we are a UK company, our main showroom is located in Montpellier in the South of France and the majority of our stock will be shipped from this location, we have been operating this way for many years and the shipping process has been a success.

Bulky items to UK and EU
These items will be shipped with our own transport partners who operate in-between UK-France-Spain. We aim to send these items in 2-4 weeks. We can ship to other EU countries, however the delivery times will be vary.

We will need your full address to obtain a true shipping cost from our freight forwarding partners.
When all cost have been agreed we will organise packaging, and crating if required. The shipment will then be delivered to our Freight forwarding partners in France or the UK, and booked on to the next sailing.
Sailings can take between 2-4 weeks depending on your destination.
If you do not have a customs broker to organise customs taxes (you may be liable for taxes on your purchase) and paperwork, our shipping partners can assist with this.
Overseas US/AUS/ASIA deliveries can take between 4-10 weeks.
For small Items weighing less than 20kg and girth 180cm(W+Hx2), this is around 50x30x40cm box.
